Dr Ronald Chin’s Explanation Of Laryngology

Laryngology is the study of the larynx or the voice box. Apart from producing voice, another key function of the larynx is the protection of the lungs from food and fluid entry.

The voice box is located in the front of your neck. It supports your vocal cords and aids in swallowing, speaking, and sound production. It is also the entrance to your windpipes and plays a crucial role in helping you breathe.

Larynx disorders usually result in difficulty breathing, swallowing, and vocal dysfunction.
